A couple years back an interesting concept came from the man Ari (also worked on the espos) involving sneakers that would resemble “Newport” cigarettes. I thought the concept was amazing and had they been available anywhere near the bay area i would probably own them today. They dropped in summer of 06 and only 242 pairs were made at a retail of 275$. But Ari faced a lawsuit i believe over these sneakers and til this day no one knows why (copyright infringement maybe). Pretty shady I must say, for an artist that was just raising awareness of how both sneakers and cigarettes can become addicting. Check out the trailer for the documentary on what went wrong with such a genius idea. ARI keep up the good art work man, you know how fucked up this world & its corporations can be.
